Founder of Carolina Design Associates

Amanda is the founder of Carolina Design Associates, and one of the most sought-after designers in Charlotte, specializing in new home construction and renovation design.

After earning her Associate’s Degree in Interior Design with honors in 2002, Amanda began her career working for some of Charlotte’s premier, high-end design firms. After working several years, she recognized an increasing need in Charlotte to support the growing custom home industry, and Carolina Design Associates was established in 2007.

The firm was founded around Amanda’s passion for design and acute focus on even the smallest details.  She believes “the details are the most important, and give each client a home they know is unique.”

Amanda’s design aesthetic and attention to detail have earned her countless awards including the STARS Award NC, where her team received the award in 2017 for “Best Single Family Detached Home over 8000 square feet.”  She also earned awards from Homearama in 2005 including “Gold Best Overall Home,” “Silver Best Kitchen,” and “Silver Best Master Suite.” Amanda’s work has also been featured in Today’s Charlotte Woman MagazineCharlotte Home and Garden, and QC Exclusive.

Amanda's passion for design is obvious to her clients, builders and architects she works with. Amanda is eager to approach her projects as she "loves the full spectrum of the process, from the planning and selection phase, assisting throughout construction, to the selection of furniture, lighting, and accessories that make a new home complete."

Amanda has built a reputable reputation within the construction community.  Even though she is highly recognized, Amanda is still the first contact potential clients have with CDA. She understands the importance of personal connection and works closely, during the beginning stages of the project, to determine which designer in the firm will best fit the clients personal style and construction needs.

Apart from design, Amanda spends time with her husband, and their two children. She also enjoys traveling and experiencing new places.
